Operation Protective Edge - Los Angeles

Dear Friend,

I write you in agony having learned the tragic news from Israel of the murder of the three precious Jewish teenagers.  Naftali Frenkel, 16, Gilad Shaar, 16, and Eyal Yifrach, 19 were young boys, full of promise, and eager to live a long and happy life in Eretz Yisrael.

Time will never heal the pain inflicted upon all Jewry and upon all Israel for their senseless and meaningless murders.

As Jews we mourn their loss. As human beings, we need to speak out against injustice - no matter when and where it happens nor to whom. As active community leaders and gatekeepers for the Jewish People we must stand together, we must stand strong and we must continue our work for a free, safe Land of Israel.

Barely a month ago, we hosted Yossi Ron in Denver who shared the story of Gush Eztion at our Annual Breakfast. It should not go unnoticed that these three young souls were from the Gush Eztion area and were violently snatched up only a short distance from Jewish National Fund’s Heritage site. Personally, I feel that I am reliving today the horror of Gush Eztion from 60 years ago.

The JNF Mountain States Region asks for your support to dedicate a forest of trees in the memory of the boys. Please click on the button below and show your support in this effort. As you speak to others about this tragedy please ask them to join with us.

I can think of no better way to memorialize these young men than with a new forest of trees. Such a tribute will serve as a wonderful statement and testament to their lives and what they stood for, and all they could have been.

At this time our most sincere thoughts and deepest prayers go out to the families as they mourn their lost sons.

May the families be comforted amongst the mourners of Zion and Yerushalayim.

May the families know no more sorrow.
