Israel Planting Project- in honor of Robert J. Stoll

In January, our dear friend, beloved father, husband, grandfather & great-grandfather Robert J. Stoll passed away. Robert was a life-long Zionist, and in addition to being President of the synagogue, fundraised for many years and contributed generously to help a variety of causes in Israel.

He worked tirelessly to promote not only the Jewish community in Manhasset Hills, but to pass on a love of Israel to his children and grandchildren, taking all the grandkids to Israel for their Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. On most of these trips to Israel, Robert and his loving wife Miriam would help their children and grandchildren plant trees through JNF. Making the desert bloom was not a cliche for the Stolls but rather a call to action.

Following his passing, his family has decided to carry on his work and organize a special project to plant 1,000 trees in his honor in Be'er Sheva by the Negev Desert.

We hope that you will join us in honoring Robert by supporting a cause in which he believed so strongly.

About JNF:

Jewish National Fund began as a dream in 1901 to reestablish a homeland in Israel for Jewish people everywhere.  In the years since, JNF has made the dream a reality by greening the desert with millions of trees, building thousands of parks, creating new communities and cities for generations of Israelis to call home, bolstering Israel's water supply, helping develop innovative arid-agriculture techniques, and educating both young and old about the founding and importance of Israel and Zionism.
