I am eager to be participating in Plant Your Way to Israel, raising funds to support Jewish National Fund’s critical forestry efforts while at the same time raising funds for my own visit to Israel! During two months in the winter, I'll be attending Alexander Muss High School in Israel. It's so amazing to even think about it! I heard about the program through friends and counselors of mine a couple years ago. I'm beyond excited to be on this adventure myself.
When I went to Israel with my family, I had a wonderful time exploring the country and being with my family. However, when I returned with Roots Israel, a teen summer program, my eyes opened wide to a whole new side of Israel. The country now seemed deeper in meaning and inspirational at every moment. Within 3 short weeks, I had formed a beautiful and ancestral connection with Israel that I never expected. I had a life-changing experience to say the least. I promised myself I would return; what better way than attending AMHSI and studying its ancient history while simultaneously learning about the cool modern culture?
I have been given the honor of being a JNF Impact Fellow from NY where I will be keeping a weekly blog, attending workshops, advocating on behalf of the program, and much more. I am so ready for the experience of a lifetime. I can't wait to jump into something new, have insane fun, and reconnect with a part of my heart.
I would appreciate all the support in making these dreams come true! Please help me reach my fundraising goal for my Plant Your Way to Israel experience. (tax-deductible)
Details: Half of all the funds I raise will be put in a special account for AMHSI, and the other half will go towards JNF’s green initiatives in Israel (which my Grandma is obsessed with by the way).
More details: Jewish National Fund began as a dream in 1901 to reestablish a homeland in Israel for Jewish people everywhere. In the years since, JNF has made the dream a reality by greening the desert with millions of trees, building thousands of parks, creating new communities and cities for generations of Israelis to call home, bolstering Israel’s water supply, helping develop innovative arid-agriculture techniques, and educating both young and old about the founding and importance of Israel and Zionism.
